A few weeks ago I had the pleasure fo shooting a lovely wedding in Portland at Penn Castle. It was touch and go as to what the weather was going to be like but come the morning of the wedding, the sun came out and we were blessed with a wonderful dry day!
Dean and I had fun shooting these guys. Jenny looked stunning, the guests looked fabulous and the venue looked amazing.
Jenny had first seen some images that I had taken at her friends wedding and had asked if it was possible to meet to chat about her big day. We talked over a light suppa one cold night in Bristol and it was here that I found out that Jenny is a photography teacher and she knew the sort of images she wanted! No pressure! We had a great chat, talking about the plans for the day, the details, the ideas…
Our next meeting was in Portland, a very wet, cloudy Portland! I met both Jen and Gareth at Penn Castle. Wow, what an amazing house over looking the sea. This is the perfect wedding venue with beautiful gardens, a sea view and so much natural light within the well considered interior of the house.
The plan for the day was to see the venue, to see the church and to take some pictures on the beach! We did all three and for those that can remember, we did so despite the cloud, the rain and the wind!
These photos are a tribute the effortless planning and attention to detail that Jenny and Gareth put into their wedding day. I have really enjoyed getting to know them as a couple and was delighted and slightly relieved, that they love and treasure their images.
